Risk Assessment

Please be aware you have booked an alpaca experience and they are wild animals so there are some risks involved.

Handlers are well aware of the risks and how to prevent them. Here are the risks involved and instruction should be read and adhered to.

  • Zoonotic Disease – Hand washing is essential to prevent the spread of Zoonotic Disease.
  • Spooking – Using quiet voices and slow movements minimise the risk of spooking.
  • Spitting – Annoying the alpaca may lead to spitting.
  • Nipping – Alpaca’s do not have the tooth structure to bite but can nip if not fed with a flat palm.
  • Kicking – Do not sneak up on the alpaca or grab them from behind.

Dress Code

You should be aware your alpaca experience is through the countryside and therefore you should dress appropriately. We would suggest wellington or walking boots and outdoor clothing. We can not be held responsible should you damage any of your clothing during the alpaca experience.

When you park your vehicle at our farm then you should be aware that we are not responsible for any damage that it incurs. So please do not leave any valuables in your vehicle.
